About Hispanic Business Council
The Hispanic Business Council (HBC) is a program under the Business Services division of the Indy Chamber, dedicated to empowering Hispanic entrepreneurs and business owners across Central Indiana. The HBC focuses on fostering growth, visibility, and connections within the regional business community by creating opportunities for engagement, collaboration, and representation. It serves as a bridge between Hispanic-owned businesses and the broader regional economy, helping amplify the impact and voice of the Hispanic business community.

Initiatives include Conexión Empresarial, a Spanish-language networking and business event series that offers expert insights and opportunities to connect with peers; the Conexión event series, an exclusive space for Indy Chamber members to build relationships and collaborate; and a mentorship and business acceleration program, designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses and achieve sustainable growth. Together, these efforts advance the HBC’s mission to support business success and economic inclusion for all in Central Indiana.

Growing a Diverse Economy

Indianapolis is an attractive place to do business – affordability, livability, a collaborative commercial sector, and a strong and stable infrastructure. However, the metropolitan area ranks low as a place for small business success. Poor small business performance hurts regional innovation, talent retention, and economic mobility. For Indianapolis to prosper, the region must increase the birth rate of new enterprises and enable more small businesses to elevate profit, expand employment, and enter new markets.
With an emphasis on underserved businesses, but open to all, this program grows the enterprise and the entrepreneur. It offers the enterprise access to small business support resources, coaching, capital, and programs supporting growth and scale. It offers the entrepreneur professional development, executive leadership training, and connection to larger networks. Our goal is to produce thriving businesses and entrepreneurial leaders deeply invested in the Indianapolis community.

Enterprise Corps is currently recruiting small businesses for the MBA Business Solutions Program. This program pairs local small businesses with faculty-supervised MBA consulting teams. Each team will study a business challenge or opportunity and recommend a well-researched path forward. Business founders with a growth mindset and a business capable of scale are encouraged to apply for the next session. Currently, applications are closed.
